The animal underneath
Byredo's argument is that underneath the tailoring and the manners there is an animal, and it has been there the whole time.
It opens bright and almost polite, then does not stay there. The base is where the thesis lands. It is an amber floral and it belongs to whoever puts it on.
The reason for all of the above. Honeyed, a little feral, closer to the body than a fragrance usually sits. On skin this clean it has nothing to compete with, which is exactly the point — you spent forty minutes making a blank surface, so put something on it that isn't polite.
