The first machine of the night, and the least glamorous, which is how you know it matters.

A stainless steel spatula vibrating 24,000 times a second. Held at a shallow angle over damp skin, it loosens oil, dead skin and blackheads from the pores without scrubbing. Three modes sit on a single button: an ultrasonic cleanse with a positive ion charge to draw impurities out, a negative ion mode that helps serums and moisturisers go further, and a microcurrent setting that tones and lifts. Cordless, charged over USB in under two hours, splash-resistant, with a magnetic cap that keeps the blade clean.

Two or three nights a week. Then the serum goes on while the skin is still listening.

How to use

1. Cleanse, and leave the skin damp.
2. Cleansing mode: hold the blade at 30–45° and glide it over the nose, chin and forehead.
3. Apply serum, switch to import or lifting mode, and press it in.
4. Wipe the blade and replace the cap.
5. Not on active breakouts, broken skin or a fresh shave.
6. Not for use with a pacemaker or other implanted device, during pregnancy, or over metal implants in the face. Ask a doctor first.
