Cleansing is a small act of violence. Even the gentle ones shift the skin's pH and leave dry, mature skin with that faint pull across the cheekbones. IMBER is the step that undoes it.

Organic rose flower water carries the formula; chamomile calms, strawberry fruit extract brightens what the day dulled, and hyaluronic acid with sodium PCA puts water back into the surface before the serum arrives. It brings the skin back to its natural pH, leaves it comfortable and radiant rather than tight, and — with no added fragrance and an allergen-label-free formula — asks nothing of reactive skin. Twelve ingredients, all of them there for a reason. The scent is the rose water itself, nothing else.

What is in it

Rose flower water

Organic damask rose water standing in for part of the water phase. Softens the wash and carries the scent.

Camomile extract

Organic. The calming half of a formula meant for skin that reacts to things.

Hyaluronic acid

Humectant; pulls water into the upper layers and holds it there, so skin reads plump rather than merely damp. Used here at multiple molecular weights so it works at more than one depth.

Sodium PCA

Part of skin's own natural moisturising factor. Replaces what washing takes out, and keeps the hydration from evaporating off again.

How to use

Morning and evening, after cleansing. Splash into the hands and press over the face and neck, or sweep on with a cotton pad after AQUOR to pick up what's left. Avoid direct contact with the eyes. Follow with ELIXIR or HYALURONIC ONE, then BASIS or SOMNUS. Keep a bottle in the fridge in summer.

The step most men skip and shouldn't. A minute after cleansing, skin is at its thirstiest. Press this in with clean hands rather than cotton, and everything after it works better.
