The scent
Leather, amber and dry wood: a saddle left out in the sun, an adobe wall still warm after dark, the high desert at the hour the light turns gold. The Land of Enchantment, in a tin.
The vessel
A steel tin, illustrated with the state's nickname, its notes and a few of the animals that live there.
The best one in the series, and Daddy has smelled the series. Leather, amber and dry wood: a saddle left in the sun. Give it to whoever is from there. Keep one if you only wish you were.
