Where Daddy came from

Daddy Jo started as a name before it was a brand — an idea for a store, a way of shopping, a man with opinions about what belongs on the shelf. For a while, Daddy just told you what to buy. Then Daddy got tired of selling other people's things and made his own.

That's FLESH — the face — and Corpus — the body. Named in Latin, made without shortcuts, priced so a routine doesn't require a second job. Behind them, SIGMA, the first fragrance, in development in Grasse, France, with more scents and more skin to follow. The whole house was built by hand, this year, from nothing.

And here's the honest part.

We need help

We built the site. We launched the line. What we don't have yet is the capital to market it, to bring the company into good standing with the State of Oregon, or in some weeks, to fill the orders that come in. That's the gap between a brand that exists and a brand that's open.

This is a friends-and-family ask, and you're getting it because you're one or the other.

What PATRONUS is

Starting in about a month and continuing through the year, boxes arrive at your door. Daddy curates them — from our house lines first, and alongside them things for the pantry, the home, and now and then something to wear. How much, and what, depends on the number you chose. That's the only thing we won't tell you in advance.

The moment you buy, you get half off FLESH and Corpus for twelve months. And when And when SIGMA comes back from Grasse, you'll be the first to see it — a preview of what Daddy's been making, before it's shown to anyone else.(deluxe sample).

What PATRONUS isn't

This isn't an investment. There's no return except the boxes, the discount, and the satisfaction of having been here when it was small. If you'd rather help another way — a gift, a loan, a conversation — write to us. We'll keep it easy.

The fine print

Because you're family, you get it straight.

• The discount. 50% off house products — FLESH and Corpus — from the day you buy, for one year. SIGMA and other fragrance are excluded. As we bring on vendor products, some will be added, at a discount that may be smaller or capped. Single orders are capped at $100 (for now) at the discounted price; we're small enough that one enormous order would sink the shop, and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

• The code. Yours alone. Can't be shared, and we can revoke it if it's misused.

• The year. We're promising one year. We're not promising what happens after it.

• The boxes. Curated by Daddy, shipped through the year, scaled to the amount you chose. Contents are our call.

• If we close. If Daddy Jo shuts down before the year is out, we can't offer refunds. We'll honor what we've committed to as far as we're able, and we'll tell you where things stand.

• Where the money goes. Every dollar goes into the Daddy Jo Shopify balance. It pays for three things: filling orders, buying into our supplier's volume tier so every product costs us less to make, and advertising — Meta and Perplexity campaigns to put Daddy in front of people who aren't already family. Nothing is paid out to owners.

• Who you're dealing with. Daddy Jo is operated by MouvementInk Limited Co. / The Red Queen Holdings. Marketing and business plans are available on request; just ask.

• No Discount on 1st Dibs or other partner product. (sorry)
