The case for a quiet fragrance
Most colognes are trying to announce something. Sunday isn't — it's the one Byredo built to smell like the day off, not the going-out. Ben Gorham has said as much: it's named for the mundane, not the special occasion.
I stock it because a house built on Tuscan leather and dark musk needs one thing that isn't asking for attention. Sunday is that thing. Wear it when SIGMA would be too much and nothing at all would be too little.
This is the fragrance I reach for on the days I'm not trying to be anyone. Clean, quiet, over almost before you notice it's there — which is the whole point.
