The Scalp Scrub
Daddy has opinions about scalps. Chiefly that most men have never touched theirs on purpose — they wash their hair, which is not the same thing, and then wonder why the roots go flat and the shoulders of a dark coat tell on them.
The rule: this goes on the scalp, not the hair. Part it, get your fingertips in, and work in circles. The lengths get whatever runs off, and that is plenty. Once or twice a week. Every day is a personality problem.
Leave it in the full fifteen if you can stand the cold — the peppermint is doing something, and it is not a gimmick. And no, this is not the body scrub. Daddy has been asked. Different jar, different grit, neck down.
Buildup arrives whether you notice it or not. Product, sweat, hard water, the residue of every good intention — it settles at the roots and stays there, and no amount of ordinary washing shifts it.
This deals with it directly. Milled sour cherry shell works through residue and dead skin while kaolin draws oil off the surface; rosemary and peppermint oils bring circulation and a cold clarity back to the scalp, and shea butter and hydrolyzed keratin put back what the scrubbing takes out. The result is a scalp that feels balanced rather than merely clean, with flaking and dandruff kept in check over time.
It is a treatment, not a shampoo — once or twice a week, on wet hair, worked into the scalp itself rather than the lengths. Leave it in while you do everything else in the shower, then rinse.
Rosemary & Mint. Formulated in Scandinavia.
How to Use:
Apply to wet hair and scalp. Massage gently, with emphasis on the scalp. Leave in for 5–15 minutes before rinsing.
Sour cherry shell powder
The grit. Milled fruit shell, angular enough to lift product residue and dead skin, soft enough not to score the scalp.
Kaolin clay
Draws oil and debris from the surface as you work
Rosemary leaf oil
Organic. Circulatory and clarifying, used on scalps for centuries — and where the green, resinous top note comes from.
Peppermint oil
Organic. Brings blood to the surface and cools as it goes. The reason the scalp feels awake rather than merely clean.
Shea butter
Organic, unrefined. The occlusive that gives a light cream enough body to actually stay put.
Hydrolyzed keratin
Broken down small enough to bind to the hair shaft. Reinforces what buildup, heat and hard water have worn down.
