Description
Tribeca used to be where the artists lived before the money arrived, and this is the shoe for the ones who stayed. BYMANYC is a New York brand that makes its sneakers in Italy, by hand, out of materials that never belonged to an animal — and then colours this one like it lost a bet and won.
Count them: a red chunky sole, a royal-blue neoprene sock with a pull tab, hot-pink panels around the heel and toe, a yellow eyestay, peach laces, a flash of lime at the ankle, lilac across the vamp. Seven colours on one foot, and somehow it holds together, because the sole is heavy enough to carry all of it.
The sock upper means it pulls on like a slipper; the laces mean it stays on like a shoe. It's a statement in the literal sense — one loud thing on your feet that lets the rest of the outfit go quiet. Daddy wears his with a $27 graphic tee and an open white oxford, because the more a shoe costs, the cheaper the shirt should be. That's the whole trick.

Men's US 7–13.5. Women's US 6–10.5. Unisex last with a stretch sock upper — take your usual size; if between, size down, the sock takes up the slack.
