Banksy Ferris Wheel T-Shirt
A ferris wheel, rendered in the flat stencilled black that Banksy made the default language of street art.
The whole method is built on speed — a stencil exists because you have to be somewhere else in ninety seconds — and what comes out the other side is an image with no wasted line in it. A fairground ride is a good subject for that treatment: all structure, all repetition, and faintly melancholy the moment you look at one without a crowd around it.
Daddy owns more Banksy than he will admit to. This is the one he wears when he does not want to make an argument.
The shirt itself is the good kind of basic: combed ring-spun cotton, preshrunk, side-seamed so it hangs straight, taped shoulders so the collar doesn’t twist after the fortieth wash. It fits like the tee you’ve had for ten years, on day one.
How to wear it
Black tee, black jeans, and let it be the only graphic on you. It is a night shirt, not a Saturday one.
Banksy on a black tee reads as a poster. Banksy on white reads as a print. Pick according to how loud you want to be.
