It is a pre-serum treatment, which means the job is to hydrate and condition and then get out of the way so the serum lands properly. It also increases firmness and elasticity over time, so it is not purely a primer. The distillation is the interesting part: what is left behind is the lightest fraction of caviar, and it behaves like water rather than like a treatment.

First thing after cleansing, on a damp face. If you own the serum and not this, you are running the serum at a disadvantage.
