Some nights the sink is too far. AQUOR is the cleanse for those — a micellar water on an organic aloe base that lifts make-up, sunscreen and the day off face, eyes and lips in a few passes of a cotton pad, with nothing to rinse and nothing left behind.

Chamomile and linden flower keep it calm on skin that's been through a lot; hyaluronic acid means it leaves the surface dewy rather than pulled. It's the cleanser you can use on a plane, in a tent, or at two in the morning, and it's gentle enough to be the first step every single day. Ninety-nine percent natural origin. The scent, if you're asking, is a meadow at seven a.m.

What it does

  • Removes make-up and impurities, including eye and lip

What is in it

Aloe leaf juice

Used as the water phase rather than as a claim. Hydrating and calming from the first ingredient down.

Camomile extract

Organic. The calming half of a formula meant for skin that reacts to things.

Hyaluronic acid

Humectant; pulls water into the upper layers and holds it there, so skin reads plump rather than merely damp. Used here at multiple molecular weights so it works at more than one depth.

Betaine

Sugar-beet humectant. Draws in moisture and takes the edge off surfactants, which is why a wash built on it rinses without that tight, squeaky finish.

Linden

Linden flower extract. Soothing and faintly sweet — reached for whenever a formula's whole premise is 'sensitive.'

How to use

Morning or evening. Soak a sustainable cotton pad, wipe over face, eyes and lips until the pad comes away clean. No rinsing. As a full cleanse on light-make-up days; as a first cleanse before NIMBUS or LACTEA on heavy ones. Follow with serum and cream as usual.

The cleanse for the nights the sink is too far: hotel rooms, planes, the couch at two in the morning. Soak a pad, a few passes, done. Better than going to bed in the day.
