Save Ferris From Ferris Bueller's Day Off T-Shirt
Short description (listing line)
Save Ferris — from John Hughes's Ferris Bueller's Day Off, on a 100% combed ring-spun cotton crew-neck tee. Unisex, preshrunk, Oeko-Tex certified. Take the day off.
Description
Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
In 1986 John Hughes made a film about a kid who skips school, borrows a Ferrari, sings on a parade float, and gets away with all of it, and the whole city rallies to save a boy who was never sick. The columnist George Will called it the moviest movie — the one truest to what movies are for, which is getting out of something.
This tee says the two words the whole town was saying. [GRAPHIC — confirm design: lettering style, any additional artwork]
It's the least "art" shirt in the edit and the one that gets the most smiles from strangers, which Daddy would argue is its own kind of art. He wears it with the oxford fully open, jeans, the BYMANYC Brooklyn Bliss, and no plans. Life moves pretty fast.
The shirt itself is the good kind of basic: combed ring-spun cotton, preshrunk, side-seamed so it hangs straight, taped shoulders so the collar doesn't twist after the fortieth wash. It fits like the tee you've had for ten years, on day one.
Curator's note
Wear it on an actual day off. Wearing it to work is a cry for help.
