The Scrub - Icelandic Volcano Face & Body Scrub
Volcanic grit is sharper than sugar and less polite than a cloth. Face and body from the same jar, which is the whole argument for it — one texture, everywhere, no separate ceremony for the neck up. Twice a week is plenty. Every day is a personality problem.
There is a beach on the south coast of Iceland where the sand is black, fine, and cold, and it does not care whether you find it beautiful. That is the grit in this jar.
The Scrub suspends volcanic sand in a cream of hydrogenated castor oil, so the abrasion arrives cushioned rather than dry. It works on skin that is damp or skin that is not: the cream is dense enough to hold the sand in place while you move it, and thin enough to rinse without leaving a film. Sunflower seed oil and tocopherol sit in the base doing quiet conditioning work while the sand does the loud part.
It is made for the parts of you that take a beating — heels, knees, elbows, the shoulders and the back of you that a cloth never really reaches. Two minutes, twice a week, and the skin underneath comes up smooth, even, and a shade brighter. Follow with oil or cream while still damp.
Gentle enough for face and body. Suitable for all skin types.
How to Use:
Apply to dry or damp skin. Massage gently. Rinse off with water.
